Sqoshi Privacy Policy

1 Introduction

This privacy policy relates to usage of the site www.sqoshi.com The latest privacy policy as detailed here supersedes any and all previous copies. We will notify you whenever any changes are made to the sqoshi privacy policy. This privacy policy is written in UK English. If there is any conflict when translated, this version always supersedes.

We encourage you to look at and modify your privacy settings to suit you. We’ve tried to keep them as simple as possible. Please refer to our ‘controlling your privacy on sqoshi’ guidelines for further explanation of your privacy settings and how to manage them.

2 Age restriction

You must be 13 years of age or older to join and use sqoshi. Please see our terms for more details.

3 Your information and how we use it
3.1 Registration information

We require certain information for you to join sqoshi; full name, username, password, email, gender and date of birth. You may choose to hide your full name, email and age via your settings once you are signed in to retain more privacy.

3.2 Profile information

After joining, you may wish to populate your sqoshi profile with further details plus a profile photo. These details are entirely optional. Your profile photo (if you upload one) will always be shown on sqoshi along with your username and these can always be viewed by everyone, including the wider internet.

3.3 How we use your information

We use your registration information to verify who you are, your age and to provide you with safe access to sqoshi. We will never sell or share your personal information or photos with third parties. We may use demographic information, such as a specific age range or interest to present you with adverts which will be more interesting to you. We may also use demographic information for research purposes - all anonymously.

3.4 Emails

We will only ever email you in accordance with how you have specified your email settings. We won’t ever sell your email to third parties. We will never spam you.

3.5 Your activity on sqoshi

To make sqoshi work and to protect you, we need to track and save details of things you do, such as uploading photos, liking, wanting and owning stuff, following people, uploading content, etc.

3.6 Cookies

To use sqoshi we will need to store certain data on our servers so we know who you are when you login. We use a session cookie to enable you to use sqoshi without having to sign in until later and to make sqoshi easier and more pleasant to use. A cookie is a small data file that we transfer to your computer’s hard disk. It means we can do clever things like temporarily saving your activity on sqoshi until you sign in. We also use a persistent cookie to remember your password at sign in.
You can remove and block cookies in your browser however this means that you will not be able to sign into sqoshi and it may impede your user experience. We do not use cookies to collect personally identifiable information.

3.7 Deactivating or deleting your account

If you choose to leave sqoshi, you can deactivate or delete your account. Deactivating your sqoshi account means that everything in your account is saved but you won't appear on sqoshi anymore. You can reactivate your account at anytime just by signing in. If you choose to delete your account, all your details will be permanently deleted from sqoshi and you will no longer be able to access your account.

4 Access Device and Browser Information

When you access sqoshi from a computer, mobile phone, or other device, we may collect information from that device about your browser type, location, and IP address, as well as the pages you visit.

5 The law

We shall not disclose any of your information to any national or international authority, commercial interest or any other organisation or individual without your explicitly given permission, unless:-
i) We are obliged to do so under current legislation.
ii) We believe that by doing so we can prevent criminal activity taking place.

6 Your content

It is your responsibility not to post information or photos on sqoshi that may put your own or others security at risk. Your privacy settings are also your responsibility to set as you wish your content to be shared. You accept that copies of your content may remain viewable in cached or archived pages.

7 Other websites

We encourage users to link to the website where they purchased their product from. To keep sqoshi authentic, we do not have any affiliation or relationships with these sites. Once you have followed a link out of sqoshi, you are no longer covered by our terms of use and privacy policy.
